12/16/2013 Yelp Review

My husband and I hired Courtney and The Floral Loft to create floral centerpieces, bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres for our wedding this past October and couldn't be happier with the way things turned out! The whole process was pleasant and easy and Courtney and Jason were just as wonderful as can be - every bride's dream during the sometimes stressful planning process. My husband, myself, and all of our guests loved the arrangements, and we still hear great comments about them. Oh, and their shop is super cute! Every time I went in to visit, I wanted to leave with an armful of beautiful things.
I would highly recommend hiring The Floral Loft for your wedding, special occasion, or everyday floral arrangements. They do amazing work and are great people on top of it!

I loved what you did for my nephew's (Eric and Sara) wedding. So natural, so them. We re-used the arrangements the next day for a picnic in Crissy Park (had to make them short as the wind was blowing), but they still looked great. Had people then take them home. Beautiful.

I cannot say enough great things about Courtney and Jason at The Floral Loft.
They made our bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding last year and they were BEAUTIFUL. First we met with Courtney in person and discussed the colors and general style of what we wanted and we could immediately tell that she just 'got it.' All of her suggestions were great (she is the expert after all) and she absolutely nailed it. She is super creative, too - she made the boutonnieres using antique keys I had bought, and also attached keys to all of the bouquets, and she was able to incorporate lace from my mother's wedding dress into the bouquets, as well. So gorgeous!

Besides their knowledge of flowers and their ability to create beautiful arrangements, they were easy to communicate with throughout the process, whether it be by email, phone or in person, and they were accommodating to all of our needs (which is so very important for a bride to be!). And their pricing is super competitive.

Aside from using them for our wedding, I have bought numerous terrariums from them, in everything from glass jars and globes to a beautiful one in an antique bucket, and my husband has brought me home beautiful bouquets that rival the one I walked down the aisle with. They also make really cool paper flowers out of maps and pages from books, which are perfect for empty vases you have sitting around the house.

More than anything, they are the sweetest couple and I thoroughly enjoyed working with them - I was almost sad when the wedding was over because I wouldn't be seeing them on a regular basis anymore!

Bottom line: support this local flower shop because they are great people who make extraordinary flower arrangements and gifts. You will not be disappointed!

Also, check out all the pictures I posted. They speak for themselves.

I wish I could give six stars!  Courtney is amazing.  She did all the flowers for our wedding on August 15 at the Swedenborgian Church.  She put together spectacular centerpieces for the tables, the bouquets were simply breathtaking, and the boutineers  were fantastic.

She even provided a really great tree-trunk looking vase for the big arrangement for the altar.  It really matched the architecture of the church.

We wanted a lot of succulents and unusual flowers and she really came through.  She even made my floral crown.  You don't realize how important flowers are to a wedding, but they really are.  Everyone was truly impressed by the arrangements.  Thank you, Courtney!!!  Smooch!

6/6/2013 Reccomendation Letter From a Past Bride to a Prospective Bride

Hi Elizabeth,

I'm so glad you reached out as I know picking vendors is nerve-wracking! Congratulations on your upcoming marriage by the way! I am loving married life, being about 3 weeks into it now. :)

Courtney was great from the very beginning. My sister originally found her for me based on her great Yelp reviews. I'll address each of your points.

-I gave her a tiny budget to work with and she DID! From the very beginning, she was realistic in suggesting flowers that would work with my budget. The whole time she was very encouraging also, assuring me that it would all still be beautiful and she wouldn't use any carnations or cheaper-looking flowers like that. My budget increased by a couple hundred dollars when my folks came through with a bit of help for me about 2 weeks before the wedding. That allowed me to have floral center-pieces (I was just going to do candles before that.) Courtney was really creative with my center-pieces. Since it still wasn't much money, we did flowers on every other table because that's what I could afford. And then we did candles and flower petals on the other tables. And it looked amazing. All that is to say she is creative with any budget and applies no pressure whatsoever! And she is great with last-minute requests, within reason of course! I had to add a couple more boutonnieres about a week before the wedding and she made it happen.

-I found the best way to work with her was through email, but that could also be for my own convenience. When it came to tracking all of the details of the wedding, I simply needed it recorded all in one place, and I didn't have time for more than one in-person consultation. She was super quick to respond to my emails, always within an hour as far as I remember. On the other hand, I usually kept her waiting for days with my answers and she didn't seem to mind. :)

-I planned all of the wedding day coordination with flower delivery, set-up, hand-off of bridal party boutonnieres, etc. with Courtney ahead of time, with the help of my friends and wedding party. So on the day of, it was all out of my sight completely and everything went smoothly.

-My favorite part of the flowers was the decision to include some peonies! They are so gorgeous and romantic.  They were just perfect. My favorite part of working with Courtney was when I went in to meet her for our consultation and she had a variety of centerpieces and vases all waiting for me to choose from. It made my job so much easier!!! She really knows what she's doing. And it sounds already like she is giving you some great ideas as well!

My mom told me afterwards that soo many people commented on how beautiful the centerpieces and bouquets were.

I hope that's helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions!

Best of luck!
